Nobody wants their child to have to go through surgery. From the moment our gp said my son (age 3) needed a referral for a Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy and grommets I was filled with dread. From our very first consultation with Mr Qayyum I felt totally at ease. Mr Qayyum’s manor and professionalism is undeniably outstanding. Fast forward a few months and my son can breath through his nose for the first time, hear sounds he hasn’t ever heard before, can sleep soundly and speech has already dramatically improved, to say the operation was a success is without a doubt an understatement. I cannot thank Mr Qayyum enough for everything he has done, the team that works alongside him are second to none and deserve so much gratitude! It’s been nothing but an honour for our son to be under Mr Qayyums care. From the bottom of our hearts thankyou.

I visited Mr Qayyum following recommendation, and I was delighted at the thorough and proactive manner in which I was treated. Mt Qayyum has a wonderful and welcoming persona which makes one feel at ease, together with a caring and informative approach. Shortly after my consultation, I was sent for appropriate tests and following this, my "condition" was explained in detail and appropriate treatment was administered. In summary, Mr Qayyum is a very approachable consultant with a high level of credibility within his field. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone experiencing ENT issues.

Mr Qayyum dealt with my assessment and operation regarding my otosclerosis. Everything was explained clearly and he was open and honest regarding his own experiences and previous success rates of this operation. Any risks were fully explained and the actual operation went very smoothly. Having now had another hearing test and check up 6 weeks after my operation, it seems to be a success. My hearing has fully returned and I no longer need to wear aids in the operated ear. Side effects were minimal and recovery was easier than expected. My hearing is now measuring at the best that my ear can be based on nerve ability and so shows that the operation worked. If he made such a difference to my life and confidence already that I honestly cannot wait to have the remaining ear operated on when the time comes and only hope that Mr Quyyum will also carry out this one.

I went to see this gentleman with a nose that had been broken and out of place for years , one side of the nose was blocked completely , and i didn't have much hope that it could be fixed . Dr Qayyum did an absolutely amazing job of correcting all the issues i had , a few weeks after surgery my nose was fully working again and i had no pain , i could not recommend Dr Qayyum highly enough , he is clearly a surgeon of the highest level .

I was given a great reassurance that the surgery was very simple and that I would be up and running in no time. Dr Qayyum was consoling me when I broke down when I found that I needed to have a surgery before my Uni exams. Everything prior to having a successful surgery was very well organised and professional (CT/MRI scans, etc). When I got admitted into the hospital for the day surgery, everything was done at a decent pace and the area of stay was very clean, comfortable and easily accessible (toilets). The nurses were lovely and they would respond straight away as soon as I needed them by pressing the button. Dr Qayyum knew the exact reason to my health situation in just 5 minutes while I was pestering my usual GP surgery for an appointment for 3 months. I should have gone to him sooner! It was a great sigh of relief to have had a great doctor that I could trust and leave the work in his hands. I would strongly recommend Dr Qayyum to anyone, especially those who feel nervous about their health updates. He is one to reassure you and make sure that the plan will only go on with your permission. I don’t have any suggestions for improvements as I have only spent a very short amount of time with Dr Qayyum and I must say I will definitely go back to him if need be. I feel so much better after the surgery. I am grateful to have been under Dr Qayyum’s care and cannot thank him enough.
